when i moved to baltimore i noticed there were bits of random train track everywhere. i discovered the city once had a comprehensive streetcar system. when the automobile apeared, they began to pave over the tracks. the tracks continue to endure the cities effort to hide them, they persevere and rise up through every new layer of paved tar and concrete.
