i fall. and i do other things. i perform actions and create images, sometimes in a public place, other times in the studio. i am interested in thoughtful humor and am inspired by everyday observations and experiences. i am the director and performer in my performances, videos, photographs, sculptures and drawings; the work invariably has a relationship to the body. chance is a substantial part of my process, i respond to site and situation. i am interested in presenting my femininity as awkward, unconventional, and counter cosmetic in order to question the role of feminism today in a world where stereotypes and ingrained societal biases about women still exist.
